The Graywood is ideally situated to enjoy Knysna’s many attractions and activities. The hotel evokes the character and spirit of the surrounding indigenous Knysna forests with its wonderful woodwork, whilst the décor depicts steam trains – and includes many original memorabilia and photographs. It is a 3 star hotel, and sister property to the neighbouring Log-Inn.

There are 49 tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms the Graywood. Of these there are 15 triple/ family rooms. All rooms are en-suite, all are equipped with air-conditioning, electronic safes, remote control TV's (local channels only), direct dial telephones, hairdryers and tea/ coffee facilities.

Guest facilities include a swimming pool and wooden sundeck, which is surrounded by a beautifully manicured courtyard garden.

A full buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant or on the wooden sundeck. You can enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the bar before sampling one of Knysna's many excellent restaurants. With the town centre and the Knysna Waterfront a short 300 metre walk from the hotel, there is plenty to choose from. The waterfront is a shopper's delight, and is also the departure points to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, Ferries as well as the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train.

You can experience a number of activities in the area, including golf (there are a number of excellent courses, such as Pezula, Simola, and in Knysna itself), scenic walks, ferry rides across the lagoon, whale and dolphin watching (seasonal).
